Sinopsis

This podcast contains real-life recordings of children which some listeners may find distressing. In this episode Edwina talks to Sarah Burrows, founder of Children Heard and Seen, a charity that supports children who have a parent in prison. These children often face stigma, isolation and trauma and have nowhere to go for help which is what motivated Sarah to work in this field. Sarah shares some harrowing accounts of children’s experiences and the subsequent impact of this trauma as well as what she believes needs to be done to ensure these forgotten children are ‘heard and seen.’ Find out more about Children Heard and SeenGet in touchRead more about the One Small Thing charity here.Twitter - @OSTCharityThis podcast is created and produced by The London Podcast Company.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
