Are all people God’s natural children? On the one side, God is the Creator of all people. On the other side, not everyone is a natural Child of God. The concept of being God’s adopted kids is unique to the Christian faith and it prompts us to proclaim to all that Christ Jesus, the Creator of everyone, can also become a father to all who believe. On Father’s Day Sunday let’s take a deeper look at this unique privilege all the disciples have: to be adopted by God, to be his heirs, and to be invited to sit at the Lord’s table as members in the family of God.
