Movie Date Night

We continue our deep dives into popular lore and examining multiple iterations of the Jungle Book. In this episode we compare the three Disney interpretations of the Jungle Book with the 1967 animated film, the 1994 live action film, and the 2016 computer graphic edition along with the 2018 Netflix release Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle. As we examine these drastically different depictions of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale of a boy raised in the jungle, we question where the line should be drawn between too jovial of a tale and too dark of a journey Mowgli takes as he finds his true home.
