In this sermon one of the things I pointed out from the passage was Jesus call for his followers to be to be committed to be being stepping stones instead of stumbling blocks for their brothers and sisters in Christ. In seeking to contextualize and apply this idea, I mentioned a specific media platform that I said believers shouldn't subscribe to. My intention was to highlight how the consumption and advocation of media with pervasive and graphic sexual content is not only unhealthy for followers of Jesus personally, but also detrimental to those we influence. After reflecting more carefully on the specific things I said, I realized that this is not what I actually communicated.
