It has been a while since I looked at these verses, so today's study is a recap of verses 1-15 where we see that Israel had indeed stumbled nationally by rejecting their Messiah. However, God is not through with them. Instead, their rejection resulted in salvation being offered to the Gentiles in hopes of provoking them to jealousy that they too might come to salvation. At issue in this study is, "Who are these Gentiles spoken of?" The Body of Christ? Proselytized Gentiles? Or Gentiledom as a whole?
