Duffy wrote scripts for film and TV for over a decade, and when that made her so bitter, she caught herself cycling past the office of a production company giving it the finger she quit the film industry and went to teach preschool. During the kids’ naps she wrote Life is Swede, a thriller in the form of a blog, which caused several readers to contact Swedish news agencies asking why they weren’t reporting on the murders. It led her into the wonderful world of self-publishing, and two years later her bestselling series Glasgow Kiss was selected for Crime in the Spotlight at Bloody Scotland in 2018.
