The Military Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, the OSJ, is a historic religious order of the Catholic Church. As with all religious orders, the OSJ derives its jurisdiction directly from the pope and is not subject to the diocesan bishops. When the Vatican II revolution forced traditional priests to leave their dioceses, priests, desiring to serve the needs of the faithful who recognized the poison of the new religion, were still faced with the difficulty that they were not granted ordinary jurisdiction, for instance, to hear confessions. With the confusion of that time and unable or neglectful to study and explain how they received the required jurisdiction, priests of that time period grasped from anyway which sounded legitimate in order to acquire jurisdiction. One of these means was the organization called the OSJ founded here in America which held forth its hand as a means for these priests to have jurisdiction. Now while the OSJ has its headquarters in Rome and was still recognized as a legitimate Cath
