A new addition to Restoration Radio this season, Trad Controversies tackles controversial and sticky issues that Traditionalists often have to deal with either during or after their recognition that the Novus Ordo Sect is not the Catholic Church. In this introductory "zero" episode, host Stephen Heiner asks His Excellency, Bishop Daniel Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada why they think "trad controversies" occur in the first place and then go on to deconstruct a particular controversy from the 1990s in which some Catholic faithful were asked to sign a "loyalty oath" as a condition of receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. More than twenty years on, the clergy who were involved with this affair reflect on the matter then and now, and give those honestly searching for answers a template for how to examine other trad controversies that we will deal with this season.
