Kent Mattox teaches on about this season- from the perspective Jesus would have understood it. On Jesus' calendar, we are entering the month of Kislev, a month in which Hebrew people reflected on security and trust. This is a month where things "came full circle" for them, a time in which they examined their hearts, motives, and actions... and learned from past lessons. Certainly, some successes need to be repeated. Failures... well... they knew to learn from them and move on. Through all of it, they understood- and celebrated- that God was for them. Sure, it's hard to see it in the moment, sometimes, because life is complicated and the answers aren't always tidy. Pastor Kent teaches us that life is a series of pirouettes that brings us full circle back to the Lord and His grand purposes for our lives.
