As they are getting ready to leave in the morning the children are there. They tell Iavolenus that their mom knows who he is and he shouldn’t come around anymore so he doesn’t get hurt. The trip is uneventful and upon reaching Palla the group secures lodgings and then heads over to the temple of Asclepiads. An acolyte by the name of Saria greets them and asks them if they are in need of services. Salvius realizes that many of the acolytes appear to be native Carthaginians. She explains that the temples has been there about three years and that the high priest, Hamilcar, was able to lend aid after the poisoning.
