Erin and Randy pick up some last minute supplies and then check all the equipment. They run through the plan for about an hour trying to get their timing down and make sure things are going to work as they expect. The rest of the day is uneventful as they wait for the inevitable showdown. At about ten they set the plan into motion. Jack pulls the truck around near to the beach while Erin is wandering around on the look out for the clootie. Meanwhile Randy heads over to the bar and tells Hamish that the clootie has been dispatched. Hamish is incredulous but Randy is able to quickly divert his attention by asking about his war service and then slips out the door. Sometime in the wee hours of the morning Erin hears the dreaded moan of the clootie. Erin moves in closer to the clootie and starts making noise to attract its attention.
