Sermon for December 15, 2019 - Third Sunday in Advent - Some have said that Mary sang the first Christmas carol while Jesus was still in the womb: “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant. (Luke 1:46)” Could it be that Mary’s “Magnificat” reinforced the mission of her divine-human Son even before he was born?
