Pt. Ravi Shankar has been attributed with introducing Indian classical music to the western world. He created great music with stalwarts of Indian music Ustad Allah Rakha Khan, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and many more. He also collaborated with and inspired great western musicians like Yehudi Menuhin, George Harrison, Philip Glass and John Coltrane. He left behind a legacy of music which will be cherished and remembered by the generations to come. May his soul rest in peace.
