The word "prodigal" means: spending money or resources freely and recklessly; wastefully extravagant; having or giving something on a lavish scale. There is a famous story in the Bible called the Prodigal Son. Yet this story is actually about a Prodigal Father. The two sons in the story represent two different groups of people that are equally lost and in desperate need of a Prodigal Father.
