Derek has served as a founder, CEO, or advisor of early-stage companies for the last 20 years with a frequent focus on cyber security. Most recently, he has founded The Cyber List, LLC with a mission to make cyber security decision making and vendor choices more accessible to non-technical business leaders. Derek is also the founder and Chairman of the Control System Cyber Security Association International (CS2AI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local practitioner peer groups around the globe. He is currently a co-founder and board member of NexDefense, Inc., an Atlanta software company focused on the specific security needs of industrial control systems (ICS) asset owners.
