The hour had come. Christ knew what was to come, and yet He is gripped by this fervent desire even in the midst of the realization of His coming suffering. He did not fervently desire the suffering.... The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe and the scriptures make it clear that Christ is able to save to the uttermost all who come to Him through repentance and faith.
