Plated Earth Food Fables are original short historical fiction stories about produce and its ability to connect people, culture, and history. This Food Fable tells the story of a young gangster working for Ciro “Artichoke King” Terranova, a mobster in the Morello crime family who was known for his monopoly of the artichoke market in New York in the 1920s and early 1930s.
