Your Calling is By Grace! "Brethren, consider the time of your calling: Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were powerful; not many were of noble birth." 1 Corinthians 1:26. From today's verse, we can assume that there is a discussion going on before it gets to that verse. The discussion is on the word of God preached to believers and non-believers. What makes the word of God profitable to a human's soul is when the individual believes the word, and it is mixed with faith. As said by Apostle Paul in Hebrews 4:2 that "For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed." This is where the grace of God comes into play. Because no matter how eloquent a preacher is, if the hearer does not understand and accept it in other to practice it, it means it is in vain.
