A Divided Mind and Heart! "He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." Romans 8:27 A divided heart and mind can be dangerous things and destructive. It's like a thief who steals from his own heart. When we're in a state of mind, that's full of fear, anger, resentment, and bitterness. We tend to lose sight of what is good then begin harboring and entertaining thoughts of evil in our hearts. I marveled at times to see what the people permitted as guests into their hearts. Likewise, Jesus, on knowing people's thoughts, asked why they chose to, as though demanding an explanation from them. Why allow bitterness and hatred to creep into your heart where the issues of life spring? Brethren, how can you think pure when you already embrace those things that cut it apart.
