The gaming industry is still reeling after the blockbuster announcement from Microsoft last week that they were planning to acquire ABK. While there is still a lot to be determined over the next year-and-a-half, we have heard more from Phil Spencer and Sony, and the guys run through all of it. Also, apparently Bobby Kotick tried to buy Kotaku and PC Gamer to try and forcefully change public perception about how horribly he was running ABK. Before that though, the guys give their thoughts on the free PS5 upgrade to one of their favorite games from last year in Trigger Witch. Long story short, it was great on PS4 and it is still great on PS5! Other topics include Sean's long journey to the Final Fantasy X Platinum, the guys' PlayStation Wrap-Up for 2021, and NPD for December and all of 2021.
