Perceived Political Content in Video Games with Luke Kautzky

Informações:

Sinopsis

Stoy is joined by Luke Kautzky, author of the thesis "Perceived Political Content in Video Games and News Media Usage from his time at Middle Tennessee State University. In this one on one we talk about the reasons behind peoples' perceptions of what is political, what isn't, or just plain missing it. He discusses his study, his data collection, and why he chose the games Modern Warfare, Shadow of The Tomb Raider, Control and Mass Effect 3 as his featured games, and what tropes and subject matter could make people perceive as political, or even pushing an agenda. It's a great apolitical talk about a well thought out study!  Thanks for listening! Check out our Patreon page www.patreon.com/expcast and consider donating to our podcast!
