In addition, they provide us with social support, a sense of belonging, and opportunities for fun and intimacy. Unfortunately, however, some people believe that friendships should be effortless. According to Amos 3:3, "Do two walks together, unless they have agreed to meet?" This verse suggests that friends need to be intentional about their relationships to thrive. Maintaining healthy relationships takes work. It requires compromise, communication, and mutual respect. Friends don't always have to agree on everything, but they should be able to communicate openly and honestly with each other.
