Magnificent Life

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." 1 Peter 1:3. We cannot know what God's new thing will be, but we can trust that He will do something wonderful. Whatever it is, let us be open to it and let us rejoice in its possibilities. When we look at the blood of Jesus, the cross and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ go beyond forgiveness of sin. They are symbols of God's power over sin and His desire to transform us into His image. The blood redeems us from our sins, bringing us new life in Christ. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross surpasses forgiveness and redemption. These three events have the power to transform us from the inside out. The New Testament teaches that when we come to faith in Christ, His blood saves us from our sins (1 John 1:7), and His death sets us free from our bondage to corruption (Romans 6:23).
