I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth." 3 John 1:4 One of the assets to have in this world is children, either biological or spiritual children, and to make them become the greatest asset, we have to raise them in the way of the Lord. Raising spiritually minded children is a great asset. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and he will not depart from it when he is old." The psalmist agrees in Psalm 127:3, "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward." God has given parents the responsibility to raise their children in a way that honors Him. Children are a gift from God and should be nurtured to allow them to grow into responsible adults who understand the way of God. This means that parents must be diligent in their parenting skills and provide a foundation of faith for their children to build upon.
