Sermon for the Third Sunday of Easter and Confirmation Sunday. The Scripture readings are Ezekiel 34:11-16; 1 Peter 2:21-25; and John 10:11-18.Jesus is the Good Shepherd because He lays down His life for the sheep. By any reasonable standards, we wouldn’t consider a shepherd who does that ‘good.’ But Jesus knows our needs, meets them, and brings us into His flock.
