How Does God Grow Your Faith? Sermon: When the Word Lives in Us Colossians 3:16-17 Sermon Summary The Big Idea of this study is that we need to allow the word of Christ to penetrate our hearts so that we grow spiritually. The Word of God is powerful. Hebrews 4:12-13 “(12) For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (13) Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” In this series we are looking at those things that cause our faith to grow. In other words; what helps us take the next steps to become all that Jesus wants us to be. Perhaps foremost we should understand that the Word of God has to become part of who we are.
