Nothing says "Puritan family gets destroyed by a witch in the woods" like the 2015 film The Witch. Oddly specific, I know. In any case, this week we reviewed The Witch, and spoiler alert, many of us found it very satisfying. Although it may not be full of jump-scares and shaky-cam horror, The Witch is a very methodical and slow-burning horror-thriller that may be ushering in a new era of horror films.
