Listen to what's being said with care as the word is being said because the world around us speaks in a proverbial voice. So, as we continue on the parable of the Sower, today we look into the Seed on Rocky Ground Seed. This seed falls on rocky ground, with little soil and no moisture. As a result, it does not grow because there is nothing to nourish the feeble life. For this seed to grow, it needs deep soil that will hold moisture and nutrients. The rocky ground represents people who hear the word of God but do not reflect on it or put it into practice. These individuals quickly forget what they have heard and do not allow the word to take root in their hearts.
