Midrash 101 Course- Rabbi Haim Ovadia

This is the first session in a series which will analyze Rashi's use of Midrashic material in his torah commentary. We discuss the unique characteristics of Rashi and what made his commentaries on the Talmud and the Torah stand out. We also discuss the nature of Midrash, its categories, and its historical development.
