Human Up

I went on a roadtrip this last week, all during a lockdown because of a global pandemic, as well as violent riots happening around the world because of yet another cold-blooded murder of an innocent black man by a white cop and other complicit cops of color. Seeing this brings up so many emotions from all different sides. And unfortunately, regardless of what side you’re on, those who can’t manage those emotions, even from a place of good intentions, end up behaving in very unproductive, unhealthy, even dangerous ways.I missed releasing an episode last week because I was on this road trip, but also because I needed time to really process all of this for myself. I still am. And I’m starting to develop my voice around it, without having any expectations of saying the “right” thing, or what I’m supposed to say. Just expressing the truth in what we feel for ourselves right now, which could be good things, positive things, seemingly irrelevant things.
