In This Episode: This week we talk Magic: The Gathering Jumpstart, the completely new format that Void loves (link below). MTG Jumpstart is both an online format that Arena uses as special events, but also an in-person, physical format where players can buy booster packs of cards set to a particular theme. These packs have 20 different cards in them, that are (apparently) semi-random. Then, you choose a second theme, shuffle them together, and you have a surprisingly versatile and useful deck -- at least against other Jumpstart decks. We feel like the format could absolutely be wonderful in tournament form, and it's a great way to spice up home and friendly games, too. Grab a booster box and then go to town making fun themes like Treehugging Mermaids or Walled Lightning. Fun stuff.  Jumpstart really does seem to be a way for Magic: The Gathering to be more of an evergreen game without nearly the investment that keeps people from becoming long-term players.
