Scripture: Ezekiel 47:6-9&12 (NLT) God used Ezekiel when Jerusalem had just been wiped out. The Babylonians have wasted the city and destroyed the temple. The people are grieving and mourning, oppressed and discouraged. During that dark time God showed a vision to Prophet Ezekiel, a river of healing. We see a miraculous river that flows from beneath the door of the temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side to Jerusalem out to the wilderness and to the forsaken places. The Lord showed Ezekiel the better day that’s coming. Likewise the Lord wants to remind us better days are coming. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled,” Jesus declared- Matthew 5:6 Who is filled?
