Hi everyone... summer is well and truly on its away and so are we... this is our very last podcast in out flat in London before we head of to the wilderness of Lithuania. This is episode number 21 and as Solveiga said in the show the podcast is all grown up... This weeks topic is all about the verb to go or in Lithuanian eiti. Episode 20: Counting in Lithuanian
25/09/2014 Duración: 16minThis is episode 20 of the say labas show and in this episode we've gone number crazy here! Its a good idea to know how to count right? at least a little bit... Yeah we thought so too. We only learn to count to ten but its a good start. Solveiga teaches us a few very useful sentences that we could use with our Lithuanian buddies, also number related because we love numbers! Tim shares his theory that you only need to count to three in any language and we continue our new segment now officially called "Cities and Towns of Lithuania", where showcase some of Lithuania's lesser know but very interesting cities or towns. We cover a lot of topics in this episode its ranges from unicorns to surnames, names and then to tennis... yeah we like to think we covered all bases in this episode. One of the strangest things for most foreigners and visitors to Lithuania Tim included, is the difference between the male surnames and those of married and unmarried women in Lithuania. Even first names can be a little tricky at times, Solveiga kindly walks us through it all in this episode, step by step its actually quite fascinating when you get down to it. Tim takes us all on a magical journey and shares one of his many stories from his many visits to Lithuania... Yes unicorns are involved... Yes...
