Our whole show celebrates 2016, as we discuss and debate the Top 25 Games that released this year. Join Sean Garmer, Daniel Anderson, and Marc Morrison as we make up the Top 25 list. We apologize for the very long time off. The Holidays, moving, and oversleeping, work, and other things have made it hard to get together and do the podcast. At least the double whammy of The Game Awards 2016 and Playstation Experience 2016 gives us two big events to discuss. Sean and Marc talk about all the announcements, surprises, and other things that happened at Sony’s Playstation Experience 2016. The announcement of a new MechWarrior game and SEGA getting their franchises into movies.The guys also give their thoughts on The Game Awards 2016. Did they agree with the winners? Has Geoff Keighley finally nailed the event? Or are there still a few things to iron out? The guys discuss this and more. We apologize for the one week off, but sometimes the schedules don’t match-up. However, Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison are back and have plenty to discuss on this week’s Video Games 2 the MAX. The guys discuss Bethesda’s decision to pull early review copies and only begin to hand them out 24 hours prior to the release of their games. We discuss the pros and cons of this decision, how it affects reviewers and gamers, and why this will turn out a bad thing for the future. There’s also more information from Nintendo about the Nintendo Switch, including when we can expect more information to be revealed about the product. The end of Evolve, Uwe Boll retiring, Phil Spencer’s statement on the plan after Scorpio, a Kingdom Hearts Collection on PS4, Mafia 3 making sales, plus much more.Marc also has more thoughts on Civilization 6. While Sean discusses his time with World of Final Fantasy for PS4.

On a special Thursday edition of VG2M, Nintendo finally reveals the Nintendo Switch, which is the new name of the former codename NX. They decided to show a three minute and 37 second trailer and in it, plenty of easter eggs, information, and questions. Sean and Marc discuss everything about the reveal, the trailer, if they are excited about the console, and any questions or concerns they have about the system as well. They also talk about the developer reel announced for the system. Possible Wii U ports and more. That’s not all, Rockstar also showed off the first trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2. Sony is making mobile games again. NPD numbers for September 2016. More VR games being made. A Captain Planet movie is a thing. In addition, quite a few more news items are on the docket as well. Sean talks about his time with the Pokemon Sun and Moon Demo and the new Rock Band Rivals expansion too.

Due to Sean having to make a trip to Texas for a Funeral and work getting in the way after that, the guys have had to delay the podcast until today. We are on the eve of the release of Playstation VR and there are already quite a few games that could be coming to the device in the future. Not to mention, projections for its sales until the end of 2016. Shawn Layden has also mentioned updated PSVR units and non-gaming applications for it as well. Aside from VR talk, Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison discuss a few delays, namely Gravity Rush and Cuphead moving into 2017. Voodoo Vince is getting a HD remaster. Call of Duty and Gears of War are both getting movies. Plus quite a few things from New York Comic Con too. In addition, Marc talks about his time with Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4.

Although there’s still two days left of the 2016 Tokyo Game Show, we still have a show to do. Amidst the new Pokemon Sun and Moon announcements, a new Digimon game coming, Naruto, Misou Stars, and other things from there, surprisingly other news abounds. Many of those things are game delays from Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and Last Guardian to South Park: Fractured Butt Whole and more. There have been layoffs at Sony’s San Diego studio, best known for the MLB: The Show series. The 1998 unreleased Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the Clan leaked online. There’s even more movies based on Video Games coming out too. Monster Hunter is getting a film and so is Resident Evil, but thankfully it is of the CGI variety. Marc talks more about World of Warcraft: Legion, testing out Overwatch, and playing Bioshock: The Collection.

Well, Sony had their Playstation Meeting and did announce the PS4 Pro for a nice price of $399. They also officially announced the PS4 Slim for $299. They showed some gameplay footage for known games like Mass Effect Andromeda and Horizon: Zero Dawn. However, without having a 4K TV it was also hard at times to tell what was really supposed to be impressive about it. Daniel Anderson joins Sean and Marc to discuss all of this, plus some news related to Nintendo’s mobile titles, Battlefield 1 Open Beta, and more.

So much to talk about on this episode of Video Games 2 the MAX. Sean and Marc played the Titanfall 2 Tech test. They are also joined by Austin Foncannon to talk about Nintendo’s 3DS focused Nintendo Direct and quite a bit of games news came out of that too. There’s more Nintendo NX rumors abound. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare open beta announced, the passing of Gene Wilder, and much more. Marc talks about World of Warcraft: Legion, Sean talks God Eater 2: Rage Burst and Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom.

Sorry we missed last week, as real life and work just didn’t allow for us to be able to have a podcast. However, we return this week, albeit a little later than usual. There has been a few things leak since the last time we had a show and we plan to talk about them. It looks like the PS NEO will not be the only PS4 model being revealed on September 7. A PS4 Slim also appears to be in the works and how does this differ from the backlash Microsoft received for the Xbox One S. We also talk about the biggest overblown story in that Sony revealed PS Plus was going up to $59.99 starting around this time next month. Nintendo also confirmed a few more games for the Nintendo NX and will also allow Wii Remote play for some games as well. Konami made Metal Gear fans angry with the announcement of Metal Gear Survive and could Mass Effect remasters seriously be on the way? We talk about all of this and more in this edition of Video Games 2 the MAX. Marc also finally gets to talk about his time with No Man’s Sky as well.

So, it’s been another week in video games and there are some things to discuss like Sony setting a date for a special event, which probably is the reveal of the PS NEO. The Xbox One S causes some issues in Europe, Nintendo has to deal with fan made games, but at least they have another third party into making games for NX, and much more. Sean discusses his time with Telltale’s Batman episode 1, Marc talks about Headlander too. Marc does have No Man’s Sky ordered, so hopefully on next week’s show, we can have a nice discussion about one of the big releases of 2016.

Another week in Video Games and at least one thing remains consistent, there’s something Pokemon related to talk about. Not only have Nintendo revealed more information about new things that will be in Pokemon Sun and Moon, but Pokemon Go has people enraged too. One man even filed a lawsuit against Niantic because he doesn’t like people invading his private property. There’s also Telltale’s Batman having some issues with framerate and maybe not being the big hit many expected either. Final Fantasy is getting a season pass, Ubisoft announces “Just Sing,” MTV creates a MTV Classic channel, and there could even be a Star Wars TV series on the horizon too. So, join Sean and Marc as they navigate through the gaming week, much like everyone else, without the use of a nearby “Three Step” mechanism.

We took an unintentional week off last week, partially because Sean fell asleep on the one day we actually had time to do the show, but at least we are back this week. A huge rumor broke this week revealing what Nintendo NX’s actually could be. We discuss the latest on the next potential Nintendo portable, but also home console as well. Is it a big deal that it won’t have backwards compatibility with Wii U? Will it hurt the NX to be less powerful than PS4? Are cartridges a good thing? We talk about it all on here.There’s also Life is Strange becoming a TV show, Sonic getting some new games, more on the potential of cross-play between consoles, Xbox One S coming next week, and more.We also get into some news from Comic-Con about Marvel’s netflix series shows, WWE getting a comic book that’s actually about wrestling, and they even had information about the future of Pokemon Go there.

A much better week in gaming news this time round for Sean and Marc to discuss. Microsoft and Sony will not be doing press conferences at Gamescom. Is it really about the show being close to E3? Or is there more to it than that? We try to figure it out. Sean actually played more of Pokemon Go and he has a few stories about the game, not to mention there’s news about additions coming to it as well. There could even be a live action movie too. There’s also the FTC smacking Warner Bros, Microsoft setting up a trade-in program for the Scorpio, Batman Arkham Collection now has a release date, and Nintendo is releasing a Mini NES, no we aren’t kidding.

It’s another week in Video Games and although there isn’t a ton to talk about, we still bring you a show. Evolve goes from obscurity to free to play in literally hours, Pokemon Go has swept the nation, there might be a new Diablo game in the works, and there’s a scandal involving Counter-Strike Go skins? No i’m not kidding on that last one. Not to mention, The Warriors is being remade and it’s also the newest PS2 classic on PS4 as well. Sean has spent more time with Tokyo Mirage Sessions and he hasn’t had the best of luck with Pokemon Go either. Marc talks about The Technomancer.

It is now firmly post E3 and the news is starting to get slow again. We do have a few things to talk about though thankfully. Sean also discusses the Wii U JRPG Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE.Nintendo reveals they are working on VR, the Batman Return to Arkham collection has been delayed, Bungie officially stops major support for Destiny on last generation consoles. Well, we are back a little later than expected, but there’s plenty of things to discuss with E3 2016 ending and other news trickling out in the weekend that after it as well. The guys also discuss their thoughts on some E3 demos like the Resident Evil 7 Beginning Hour, LEGO Star Wars: Force Awakens, FF XV Platinum, the first level of DOOM, and more.
