  • Video Games 2 the MAX # 129: Early E3 Leaks & E3 2016 Predictions

    09/06/2016 Duración: 01h34min

You would think there wasn’t some big event happening in less than a week with all of these leaks and early announcements coming BEFORE E3 2016 itself. We get into all of those, give our thoughts, and also have some E3 2016 Predictions too. We dive into the Watch Dogs 2 reveal, Deep Silver’s new “Agents of Mayhem” reveal, Square-Enix gave release dates for Kingdom Hearts 2.8, World of Final Fantasy, and that there will be more information on Kingdom Hearts 3 in the Winter. Injustice 2 also got leaked and so did possibly all of Bethesda’s E3 Press Conference that happens on Sunday night as well. Persona 5 not coming West in 2016, Horizon: Zero Dawn delayed, Deus Ex Go and more. We have a few more days before we even hit the first conference, so who knows what else will get leaked by then.

    04/06/2016 Duración: 01h23min

In our last episode before heading into full E3 mode, there’s a surprising amount of things to talk about and also games out there to sink your teeth into as well. Next week will be our E3 2016 Preview edition, but for this one, you get some more of the regular stuff. Nintendo played their hand and revealed there is in fact more than just Zelda Wii U from them at E3. Vivendi could be coming for Ubisoft, now that they are close to overtaking Gameloft, the Payday franchise has new owners, Activision has announced the newest Skylanders game, Overwatch has taken the world by storm, Goldberg is in WWE 2K17 and Fable returns as a card game. • Video Games 2 the MAX # 127: Xbox Scorpio & Slim, No Man's Sky delay, & More

    28/05/2016 Duración: 01h29min

As we get closer to one of the biggest dates on the calendar for video games, the rumors, speculation, and reports will continue to come in and we’ve spoken a bunch about Nintendo, Sony had their time with the PS4 NEO, now we find out what Microsoft is doing with their codename Xbox Scorpio. Apparently it may not just be a Xbox 1.5 either, it could be four times as powerful, have 4K, and even partner with Oculus to have virtual reality as well. That’s not all, there may be a slim version of the Xbox One to come out at the end of 2016 too. Aside from this Xbox stuff, No Man Sky has officially been delayed, Batman: Return to Arkham has been announced, Warner Bros. shakes up their film division, and the internet delivers some typical internet BS.

  • Video Games 2 the MAX # 126: Streaming Consoles, Nintendo Animated, Uncharted 4 & More

    18/05/2016 Duración: 01h32min

Here we are once again, talking about what’s been happening in video games. Marc isn’t feeling his best after having a few Wisdom teeth pulled a few days ago, so Randy Isbelle from the “Backlog Busting Project” podcast and fellow 411 writer joins us on this episode. We discuss if Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot is right when he says video games are headed towards streaming, without consoles, within another console generation. Can we see this actually happening? Or will there always be a console to physically play in our homes? There’s also the announcement of Unravel 2, a release window for the PS NEO, Nintendo going into the animated films business, some game collections that could be coming, a Harley Quinn movie and a trio of old video games being made into films as well. Randy has also completed Uncharted 4, so he gives his thoughts on the whole experience, Marc has finished all three episodes of Walking Dead: Michonne, so we talk about that too.

  • Video Games 2 the MAX # 125: Uncharted 4, Nintendo Cartridges, CA: Civil War, Battlefield 1 & More

    12/05/2016 Duración: 02h09min

It’s back down to the usual two hosts for this episode, but don’t worry, we have plenty to talk about on this edition of the podcast. It looks like each week we are going to have to address a new rumor with the Nintendo NX and this week it is about them possibly using cartridges again. Are there positives to not using discs? Could this really mean that there will be a portable version of the console? Or is this all an internal thing? We also talk about the Assassin’s Creed movie trailer, a big rumor about why Lionhead was shut down, Disney Infinity being cancelled, Battlefield 1 being announced, the Pokemon Sun & Moon starters, and oh yeah, Marc has played Uncharted 4 and we get into that as well. We also spend time at the end of the podcast talking about Captain America: Civil WarThe Captain America: Civil War portion of the podcast starts at the 1:49:00 mark.

  • Video Games 2 the MAX # 124: Xbox One going Strong, Lara Croft Cast, COD: Infinite Warfare

    04/05/2016 Duración: 01h40min

It’s that time once again for us to discuss what’s happening in the world of Video Games. We are starting to get into the hype for E3 2016 and some small details are beginning to come out about what could be revealed at the show. This week, the big one is more rumors spreading about Microsoft having new hardware and even a new controller to unveil at E3, but that’s not all as Microsoft is doing a big fanfest at E3 and even an ID@Xbox event for May. There’s also the announcement that we shouldn’t expect Nintendo NX to be sold at a loss, details on the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Lara Croft casting revealed for the Tomb Raider movie, FOX and possibly Disney pulling out of Comic-Con and more. Marc talks about some Duck Game and Crypt of the Necrodancer as well.

  • Video Games 2 the MAX # 123: Nintendo NX Release Window, Zelda NX, COD: Infinite War, & More

    28/04/2016 Duración: 01h39min

Another week and once again we get big news, I’m beginning to like how these news cycles are turning out. Nintendo has revealed that the Nintendo NX will release in March 2017, but we won’t know anything until some time after E3 2016. Is it a good idea for Nintendo to skip E3? When do we expect for this NX event to occur? And what could be the price tag? Also, Nintendo delayed Zelda Wii U to 2017 and announced what we’ve known all along that a Zelda NX was in development as well. There’s also other Nintendo News on their profits, selling a stake in the Seattle Mariners, The Wii U production, and more. We discuss a few things from PAX East, Borderlands 3 is real, the new Call of Duty game has a name, our thoughts on the new Doctor Who Companion and whatever else is out there news wise. We even have a returning co-host for this show as well, as fellow 411 Writer Daniel Anderson makes a special appearance to break it all down with us.

  • Video Games 2 the MAX # 122: PS4.5 is Real, Red Dead 2 is a maybe, & more

    21/04/2016 Duración: 01h09min

Well, it did not take long for these PS4.5 rumors to grow some legs and there are already documents out there that have leaked the specs for the system as well. There also sources saying the Xbox 1.5 may not be a myth either, but now that this is really out there, what does this do to the Video Game industry? Are we starting to see a change in how consoles won’t last for a long time? Could this separate the player base, even though Sony is adamant they don’t want that to happen? Will this be the way of the future? Is it possible there’s not a PS5? We try to discuss all of this and more. Aside from that, there’s also the possibility that Red Dead Redemption 2 actually exists, Mafia 3 has a release date, Street Fighter V finally goes after rage quitters and AMC even tried to allow texting in movie theaters, plus we discuss quite a few other things as well. Marc talks about The Order 1886 and Sean talks about that Final Fantasy IX Steam release he’s been waiting to come out.

  • Video Games 2 the MAX # 121: Unchained Rumors, NX Launch Lineup, New SKU's & More

    14/04/2016 Duración: 01h48min

Well, lots of things happened on Sean's trip to Texas and while it was certainly eventful for many reasons, it also kind of prevented him from doing a podcast that wasn't wrestling related. So, now that he's back home and in the groove of the regular schedule again, it is time to return to discussing video games, since this podcast is called Video Games 2 the MAX and all. This week, we discuss the newest patent to release about the Nintendo NX and we debate whether the NX launch lineup will include a bunch of Wii U ports or not?Microsoft had some news as well, as Quantum Break has become their best selling new IP for the Xbox One, speaking of Xbox One, there could be more SKU's on the horizon, Gears 4 is keeping split-screen, and more. An explanation has also been given on what exactly is "enough content to fill a whole game" when it comes to the Final Fantasy VII Remake Episodes. So, looks like we have plenty to talk about on this one, plus Sean talks about Kingdom Hearts Unchained X and Marc has been playi

  • Video Games 2 the MAX #120: PS VR Price, Cross-Platform Play, Nintendo News, & More

    17/03/2016 Duración: 01h55min

Well, it has finally happened! Sony have revealed the price of PSVR and it is a whopping $399, which is without the PS Camera and PS MOVE controller you need to use the device. Should Sony have made it cheaper? Why not announce all of the extra peripherals needed straight away? Do you think this will sell well? Could people actually use this to play PS4 games without a TV? We try to answer these questions about it as best we can. There’s also a ton more stuff in here, since it has been a bit since we’ve done a podcast. Could Sony and Microsoft actually approve cross-platform play for games? Microsoft has at least extended the olive branch. We talk about the last Nintendo Direct that happened, The Division being the new best selling franchise, Indiana Jones 5 being announced and a ton more. Sean also talks about his time with Senran Kagura: Estival Versus and Marc bought The Division and has been playing quite a lot of it, he also talks about Disgaea PC as well.

    03/03/2016 Duración: 01h47min

Well, you may have noticed that the podcast is under a different name. Don't worry, we didn't go anywhere, Sean and Marc are still here and not a whole lot is changing either. It's just called Video Games 2 the MAX.This week, Marc talks about his time with Far Cry Primal and Super Hot, while Sean talks about Toki Tori 2 and BroForce. 24/02/2016 Duración: 57min

We really have to stop doing this long layoff thing, it isn’t good for our morale. Once again, it is totally unintentional, but at least we have some things to talk about on the podcast today. Could the Playstation VR price be revealed at Sony’s VR event at the Game Developers Conference in March? Are any of these prices listed the right one? Six million people played The Division Beta, we were two of them, we give our thoughts on The Division. There’s a maybe a Dragon Age Tactics, Bethesda having a E3 press conference again, Knack 2 being made, Crash Bandicoot maybe coming back, Hideo Kojima talking to Guillermo Del Toro and Norman Reedus again and a lot more.Sean talks about his time with Fire Emblem Fates and Walking Dead Michonne, Marc spent a lot of time with The Division Beta.

    30/01/2016 Duración: 01h28min

So once again Nintendo is in the news, hey we aren't complaining because it gives us stuff to talk about. Bandai Namco is apparently working on Nintendo NX games and there could even be a Super Smash Bros. game at launch. Not to mention, they are about to release a new Pikachu spin-off game. EA is also in the news for two different reasons, as they may have accidentally revealed the current Xbox One console sales figures (and they are pretty far behind PS4.) They also will have their own pre E3 event called EA Play and we discuss that as well. There's also Apple making its own VR system, Mighty No. 9 being delayed again, Microsoft renewing Jet Force Gemini, Disney's Bob Iger saying that Marvel movies will be made forever and a lot more. 31/12/2015 Duración: 01h46min

The holidays has made it hard for us to get together and do a podcast, but we've finally found a day that works and thus let's us squeeze one more show into 2015. There isn't a ton of news, so the bulk of the podcast will be spent looking back at the year that was.
