So many relationships get complicated because of miscommunication.  Learning how to communicate with another person in a way they truly understand your intention is not an easy thing to do.  Pastor Matt will explore what it means to communicate effectively, and particularly what it means to love people in a way they experience it as love.  This is the last of our three part sermon series preparing us for The Church has Left the Building.

St. Albert is a great place to live, but it is the people of St. Albert that truly make this city great.  Pastor Matt explores what the Bible says about the people of St. Albert and why they are so easy to love.

David Campbell, who works with young people in Inner-City Kingston, Jamaica, will be speaking about God’s Glory; God's eternal moral character.  Using stories from his work in Jamaica he will explore how God’s Glory relates to the world we are passing on to the next generation, and how God's presence through his church offers hope.

Victory!  What kinds of memories and stories come to mind?  What feelings do you relive when you think of the victories in your own life?  Pastor Wendy walks us through the story of victory that appeared to be one of total despair and defeat to those who loved Jesus, but for Jesus it was one of triumph!

Pastor Nathan walks us through The Bigger Ask.  Matthew, Mark and Luke all record a poignant and tragic story about Jesus having a conversation with a young, successful and wealthy man.  This conversation gives us a glimpse into Christ’s heart and kingdom as his response to the rich young ruler echoes prophetically to us in our culture of youth, success and wealth.

Greg Musselman shares his story of how he came to Christ and then went from  being a television sport anchor/reporter to  traveling to some of the most dangerous places on the planet to meet with Christians who are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus.  At times Greg says he felt like he missed God's plan for his life, but today feels he is where he is supposed to be and references Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for good for those who love Him, who have been called according to His purposes."

Pastor Dan speaks to us out of the book of Daniel.  In a world where our students are more connected than ever before, what is Jesus calling them too?  Are they more than the pictures they post on Instagram or their posts on Facebook?  Throughout history Jesus has used teenagers in ways we couldn’t possibly imagine.  He has used them to make His name great, and His plan hasn’t changed.  But what are we, the church, doing to help them answer the call?  Has God just made us spectators or do we have a bigger part to play?

So what does this Sabbath thing actually look like when we are all so busy?  Pastor Matt will looks at the question of what does a Life of Rest actually look like when we are surrounded by people, competing agendas and our own issues.  He explores how one of the busiest men in the Bible, Nehemiah, lived a life of rest.

CALLED OUT To A Mission - As we draw our exploration of the book of Acts to a close, Pastor Matt explores how the church was called to mission by Jesus, and how specifically the Apostle Paul’s journey towards discovering his calling in the context of that bigger story might be a model for us as we each seek the mission to which we are called.

Pastor Jeremy and Pastor Lisa teach on how the church has been "CALLED OUT To Work It Out".  We all experience conflict in our relationships, the key is how we choose to engage in this conflict.  From the Book of Acts we see that is possible to have conflict and still have healthy and honoring relationships.

Pastor Jeremy lead us through CALLED OUT To Put Jesus First - “The radical conversion of the Apostle Paul (formerly Saul) is one of the most powerful testimonies to the truth of Easter that Jesus Christ is indeed alive!  Despite the dramatic nature of Saul’s conversion, there is a discernible pattern of conversion that applies to all who come to apprentice with Jesus.  It’s a profound story of life change that continues to result in life transformation all around the globe.”

CALLED OUT To Welcome In - Isn't it sad that so many people these days see the church as an "exclusive club"? Pastor Nathan helps us explore the church in the book of Acts, we see that this rag-tag group of people bound together in Jesus Christ were anything but exclusive or isolated.  There is a lot that we can learn from their example, particularly in how they prioritized making space to welcome others in a heartfelt way - giving vividness to the welcoming heart of Jesus.

Pastor Nathan lead us through Called Out To Welcome All - Is the church a community that is restricted to one certain culture or form of expression?  Many people in the west might argue that this is the case.  However, when we study the infant church in the book of Acts, we see that what began as a grassroots movement among some renegade Jews, necessarily required a metamorphosis in order to welcome people of all ethnic, cultural and spiritual backgrounds into it's fold.  The church today needs to continue to champion this cause in the world.
