The 1,000 Ways to Say the Same Thing Podcast, is willing to accomplish just that for anybody who needs it. Hosted by USA National Level Olympic Weightlifter Cesar A. Flores, in the quest to develop coaching cues for a more driven and focused life, we will figure out what people are not doing today, so tomorrow we can do what others can not. • 11: Zeus, Atlas and Big Shoulder Workouts

    09/04/2019 Duración: 30min

Every now and then, whatever circumstances you may be experiencing will become overwhelming. Whatever way you choose to respond to that, is your choice, but there are only two. Crumble in the face of adversity, or ask for more. Which one are you? Which one was the Greek titan Atlas? Back in the day, the Titans roamed the golden age of the universe, freely, and looking damn cool while they did it. Until one whiny little boy named Zeus, and his brothers decided that enough was enough and decided to end the golden age. Lightning boy decided that because he was boss hoss, that he could give jobs to the retired Titans, and gave old man Atlas the responsibility of holding up the heavens and the earth. Well little lightning bug must have irked Atlas more than normal one day, and he decided to chirp back. That's what we talk about today. • 10: Restructuring, Doing, and Being

    08/04/2019 Duración: 24min

Life happens, and it definitely happened to me over the last month. I took the time to figure it out and come back hard, or at least as hard as I possibly could in the midst of training, work, and life. Welcome back to the show! I am glad that you're still here with me, and I hope you're just as excited as I am for the rest of the foreseeable future! Back when I first started the show, my goal was 2 long episodes a week. • Episode 9: Hiatus, Rocky 3 and Medals: Finding the Eye of the Tiger

    19/03/2019 Duración: 01h43min

Injuries are going to happen, there is no question about that. Whether the injury is almost snapping your wrist in half, or the psychological injury you get when you fail, there is a certain level of fear-mongering that resides in your mind, heart and soul. Here is my experience on trying to outwit that fear, and finding the "Eye of the Tiger" once again. If what you are passionate about doesn't scare you, you have to ask yourself if what you are doing is the right thing for you. Over the course for the last 6 months, I questioned myself and whether or not I was doing the right thing with my life. I didn't want it anymore, and that's the truth. I was going through the motions and lost my fire, lost my edge, lost my love for the sport. But, there was one thing keeping that hope alive and that was the thought that maybe, one day it would come back. A movie about a boxer. Thank you to everyone who is still listening! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did living it! Adrian Confronts Rocky: https://www.yout

  • Episode 8: In Between Cues With My Grandpa Felix: Keep your head down, and be smart.

    27/02/2019 Duración: 58min

Experience is the byproduct of life. If this is the case, the longer the life, the more experience at hand. Not everyone has a reliable stream of experience at their current state in life, but if one thing is for sure, there is almost always someone who does. This is a very special episode for me, it is not every day that you get to sit down across the table from one of the people who almost single handedly cultivated your character. My guest today is my own grandfather, Felix Aguirre, one of the strongest, most commited, loving men. With an almost bull like sense of determination. The man who taught me that hard work, starts with a hard mindset. My Grandfather came over from Mexico early in his life, to ultimately pave the road for a handful of children, and two handfuls of grand children. If there is anything that I learned, it is that: After 70 years of life, he is nothing but happy. I try to find out why. This episode was recorded and filmed outside, so I apologize if there are any annoying barks, or bi

  • Episode 7: In Between Cues With Corey Goodlett: Be Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable.

    26/02/2019 Duración: 45min

Comfort is a thing that many people take advantage of. Whether it is comfort in the activities, people, or surroundings you immerse yourself in, or the monotony of every day; it is just as easy to get lost in the sauce of mediocrity, as it is to drown in it. My guest today is another one of my good friends, Corey Goodlett. Our Podcast took place right after episode 6, so please excuse my lack of variety in my outfit. A dedicated, loyal, and courageous man; Corey has spent the last 6 years demonstrating his leadership skills, on the football field, in the weightroom, in his church, and is hoping to demonstrate those skills for his country. However, there was a time that he felt the every day routine he was in was detrimental to his development, so he decided to pick it all up and leave just to figure out what he was made of. • Episode 6: In Between Cues With Austin Richardson: Beat the Best Version of Yourself

    24/02/2019 Duración: 01h42min

In a competition setting, the only person you are truly competing against, is yourself. While it is possible to be your worst critic, and your biggest fan, there's one question you must ask yourself: Are you beating the best version of yourself? Or just an okay version? My guest today is one of my good friends, Austin Richardson. A strong bull-headed man, who helped me start on my journey, before weightlifting. Austin himself, has a very strong athletic track record with a background in Division 1 High School Soccer as Keeper. Once a nationally ranked, all CIF, promising young athlete, Austin decided to hang up his cleats in pursuit of his true passion. Firefighting, a valiant public service that has been his dream since he was a boy. However, it has not been an easy journey for the young man. Thank you for listening! Any questions? Want to talk? • Episode 5: Today I will do, So Tomorrow, I can: A cathartic conversation.

    19/02/2019 Duración: 01h03min

Throughout life you are going to deal with difficult people. People who don't believe in you, people who want to see you fail, or simply people who do not care for you. Ask yourself what you can do Today, that those people are not doing, so Tomorrow you can do what those people can't. Bullying is an unfortunate part of life, that at one point or another everyone will go through. Whether it comes from peers, teachers, or parents. It is a crucial event that shows us who we are, who we affiliate ourselves with, and who to trust. But most importantly it shows us that we must be able to trust ourselves in whatever we choose to do. Shoutout to all the Leaders out there. The leaders who are wise enough to dictate what pain is essential and what pain isn't. Mad Respect to all the GOOD teachers out there, the GOOD counselors, the GOOD parents, to the people who say that "that's not true." I don't want pity, I have never wanted it. I just want to show everyone that it's possible as long as you do what other's won't.

  • Episode 2: Boats, the compound theory, and moving in the right direction.

    08/02/2019 Duración: 35min

The Compound Theory when applied to every day life is definitely a powerful way of thinking. It helps build consistency, discipline, and accountability, while also opening the door to some real change. Change does not happen automatically overnight, but over the course of time, one small degree of change whether it is positive or negative can lead to new outcomes in life previously unthought of.
