What's "That Beautiful Sound"?  A podcast on Beetlejuice the Musical!  All you'll want to do is hear THIS sound: our discussion on the musical and how it compares to the movie, as well as our predictions for some of the Tony categories that are completely irrelevant now! -- Want to see how Alex Brightman creates the voice of Beetlejuice? We didn't get a chance to mention her by name, but Delia Deetz (and Miss Argentina) is played by the fabulously funny Leslie Kritzer. Everyone agrees that David Korins's set is a definite highlight, see what he has to say about it! Warner Bros. is just another movie studio trying to find their hit Broadway show, though they've been trying for a while. "Whaddya Do" when you see Broadway’s newest cross-dressing comedy, Tootsie? You spend your subway ride home listening to our review of it, of course!  You heard it here first, or you just heard a lot of Santino fangirling but either way we have all the details. -- Christine couldn’t remember the name of the orchestrator when talking about instrumentation, but shoutout to Simon Hale for providing that grand golden-age sound!  Also mistakenly omitted: praise for “I Won’t Let You Down” and how it’s smartly reprised in “I Like What She’s Doing,” which you can hear a snippet of in new show clips from Broadway.com, hot off the presses today! Say what you want about Michael Riedel and the New York Post, but he wrote a nice little article on how Tootsie the Musical started out (and we’re glad they managed to find the creative team that they did!)
