The guys are back this week to talk about The Pope's Exorcist, Blue Beet'e, Foundation, and (sadly) Geostorm. Stay til the end, too, as Andrew gets a little deep on what vibe is defining the modern generation and then a discussion on... Taylor Swift?!? Kevin starts off talking about The Pope's Exorcist which is currently available on Netflix. If horror is your jam and you like the "based on a true story" genre, definitely give it a watch. Next up, Andrew talks about Blue Beetle which just landed in theaters this week. Sadly, it's doing poorly at the box office but it SHOULD be doing great! If you need something to do this weekend, go see it! Kevin takes over at the end to talk about the Apple TV sci-fi epic, Foundation. After talking to Kim, he realized that this show has many parallels to Game of Thrones so if that was your jam, give it a shot. This week Andrew and Kevin jump into the new Twisted Metal series on Peacock, Heart of Stone on Netflix, and 2 documentaries on Netflix, Poisoned and How to Become a Tyrant. Kevin meant to talk Twisted Metal last week but completely forgot so he makes up for it this week by getting into it. It came as a pretty rave review, so enjoy that. Next up Andrew discusses the new food documentary on Netflix, Poisoned. Despite his new affinity for become a cult leader or tyrant, this isn't a way for him to take over the world. Or is it...? But it does lead to a good discussion about food safety in general. And if there's one thing our guys are big on, it's safety!! Next up Kevin talks about the new Gal Gadot joint over on Netflix, Heart of Stone. It's a very Mission Impossible-esque tale, but lacking some of the overall energy that MI has. This week the group talks Oppenheimer. How to Become A Cult Leader, Super Mario Bros., and the Fast and Furious franchise. But wait!!! Yes, that is a new face you spy! Andrew brings his friend Salony on for this episode and, much like Jen(ny) and Kim, she brings some actual culture to this ragtag bunch. We kick off the episode with a get to know you session. Salony is, as they all are, a former classmate of everyone else but Kevin (what a bum, right?). It doesn't take long to see that Salony is a deep thinker and is into some really interesting stuff! Once the guys finally learn everything there is to learn about Salony, she and Andrew discuss Oppenheimer. They both liked the movie enough, but there is a slightly different take from each one, which is great for this show!  Next up, Kevin and Andrew take a deeper run at How to Become a Cult Leader, since they actually completed the show this week. This weeks episode kickas off with They Cloned Tyrone, followed by How to Become a Cult Leader, and ends with the Secret Invasion Finale. Watch in real time as Kevin slowly convinces Andrew that They Cloned Tyrone is better than he thought it was. Is it hypnosis or does he maybe have the skills to Become a Cult Leader? This week is a full house and the gang covers the new Barbie movie and Start Trek Strange New Worlds. Is that all? Absolutley not!! What else did they cover? A whole lot! Of course they start off with a discussion of The Bear because how could they not? Pete talks Minx, Heels, and The After Party really quick before Jen(ny) and Andrew (what?!?) talk Barbie. Its a surprisingly good review from both.  After Pete is done defending the 2015 Jem and the Holograms movie, he talks about Daisy Jones and the Six. Jen(ny) then talks on Elemental very briefly. Short story long, she enjoyed it and you should watch it at some point! Next up, Jen(ny) took the opportunity to see the film, The Sound of Freedom and, politics aside, she enjoyed the film. That does lead to a distinctly un-APNC chat about religion before the gang settles back into their normal lack of decorum and talks about Kevin Smith's Dogma. This finally leads the gang to a larger Trek discussion, though the intention was to focus on Strange New Worlds. Who

This is a busy one! There's Secret Invasion, Evil Dead, The Bear, The Brit Marling-Verse, and even the 2012 film, Battleship. First, though, the guys talk Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Andrew has been away and Kevin had no one to actually discuss this this fantastic film with so Andrew allows him a bit of an outlet. After that, it's a wild roller coaster ride of interesting television and movies and some really bad stuff, before a quick taste of what's to come when the team can actually deep dive into The Bear! The Little Mermaid, FUBAR, Shazam, and even The Vanderpump Rules (much to Kevin's chagrin...) are up for grabs with a packed house this week. With a larger than usual cast of characters on the episode, the content gets... eclectic. On top of that we have a special addition this week, Jen's daughter Sydney. She joined to be a second voice to review The Little Mermaid, but she turned out to be an even better expert on Five Nights at Freddy's! Kevin covers the WGA Strike The Class of 09, The Deep House, and the 3rd season of Superman & Lois. Season 3 of Superman and Lois is more of the same, quality-wise, but that isn't a bad thing! There's some new drama for the Kent family as Lois is stricken with cancer and there's a newly recasted Jonathan Kent, but the show is still as solid as ever. The Deep House is a horror flick now playing on Amazon Prime that has a new spin on the haunted house genre. As the title suggests, this house is deep... underwater! So this is a lot of POV horror and a very claustrophobic feel. The Class of 09 is a new series over on FX/Hulu that follows the aforementioned class of FBI recruits through 3 different stages - their rookie year of 09, our present year of 2023, and the future in 2034, where AI is taking over the bulk of the police work. Welcome to another episode! This week we bring in another friend of Andrew's from his Chicago days, Sara. She is a huge fan of Dune and we felt like it was a great time to bring her on since that trailer just dropped! She's also super cool because she moonlit as a boxer for a while. Like a real life, punch throwing boxer! And then, of course, she lights Andrew's fire by talking Attack on Titan. Because she is a normal human being who needs actual sleep, the guys let her go around the halfway point. Welcome to another first for the APNC crew. First off, there's 5 of us for the first time in a long time! Second, this is the first ever D&D game played on the show. First, though, the gang sits down and talks about the new film, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves! Much like the overall critical reviews, the group really enjoyed the film and it's a marked improvement over the last D&D film debacle. After the review, the game gets rolling. This is a first or second game for the majority of the group, so do not expect Critical Role here. That said, this is a great way to see how the game is played and some of the trials and tribulations that newcomers would experience. Will our team be victorious on our little quest or will we fail? As is so often the case, Kevin has no friends. But, like, ZERO. So you get him in his diminished state rambling on about '80s horror. But this is moments for him, so just play along. Horror is a hot topic on this show and someone of Kevin's age has no excuse for these holes in his watch history. He buckled down this week and watches the first 2 films in all 3 major horror franchises of the '80s, Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street. He'll break down each of the 6 films and let you know which of the series is his favorite, now that he has actually earned an opinion on the matter! Next up he gets modern with a more recent slasher-adjacent flick, The Rental. This is the directorial debut of Dave Franco and is a solid flick. Kevin then quickly reviews The Knock at the Cabin, which has been reviewed by Jen and Andrew already so not much time is spent there.
