While in California, we spent some time with the Calabasas High School Bare Rhythm. Bare Rhythm has done a lot for a high school group, including professional recording, big-time stage performances, and more. We talked about their experiences, and they sang us some of their current music. Recorded in 2018.

All-gendered group A Lotta Fermata at BYU started with members of multiple institutions before consolidating and moving ahead as they are today. We talked with them about that history, and about how they integrate in the BYU a cappella community. Then they sang for us in the mobile studio!

Depending on interest and audition levels, Cheyenne Mountain High School will have Crimson and Slate each be separate groups - or combined as an all-gender group. When we spoke with them in 2018, they were in their combined status. We talked about that transition back and forth with the members of the group, and about their goals. They also sang us some tunes live!

While on the road in California, Face graciously stepped into the mobile studio to talk about their evolution from post-collegiate to semi-pro to pro group, and how they determined it was time to take that leap. We discussed their growing international following and how they built it, and they shared some great stories. Plus, they sang for us live!

How can we redefine what it means to be in a cappella group? What are the responsibilities and privileges that being in a group offers? Most importantly, how can we share these benefits with those in need?
