Improvements include replacing the current platform, headhouse, elevator and stairway with a new 8-in. above-top-of-rail island platform and a new headhouse with heat and air conditioning, as well as a new elevator, stairway, waiting area and storage area. The improvements fall under the Federal Transit Administration’s State of Good Repair Funding program, with many concerning Americans with Disabilities Act compliance.
