Ground was broken virtually in October 2020 on what will be Singapore's first electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility, slated for completion in late 2022. Occupying a 44,000-m2 footprint, it consists of a seven-story, 28,000-m2 building that Hyundai Motor Group says will implement "the latest Industry 4.0 technologies" (AI, IoT and robotics) in EV production.
