Today’s podcast news podcast is sponsored by elevatorbooks.com: www.elevatorbooks.com ORACLE ELEVATOR ENTERS AUTOMATED ENTRANCES MARKET Tampa-headquartered Oracle Elevator has entered the automated door entrances market with the acquisition of Duncan Entrance Systems, based in south Florida. It is Oracle's 31st acquisition since 2004. The deal was transacted by Oracle Vice President of Corporate Development Craig Jones as the company continues on what it calls an "aggressive national expansion strategy." Oracle retains Duncan's staff, including founder Justin Duncan, who is director of the new division, Oracle Entrance. Oracle is cross-training and certifying its elevator technicians to work on the new, combined offering, which is being marketed to airports, hospitals, universities and hotels. Oracle CEO Paul Belliveau called the automated door business “a natural fit” for Oracle, as the equipment operates similarly to elevator doors.   Image credit: Oracle Elev
