Good Shepherd Community Church

The worship service performed in the Roman Catholic Church in medieval Europe was a far cry from the standard set down in the New Testament. The medieval worship service, the -Mass,- was in Latin, an unknown language of the people.-It focused on the supposed re-sacrificing of Christ for sins. There was no preaching or singing in the languages of the people. In short, true worship and true salvation could not be found. A radical rescue and reformation was needed. In God's kind providence he brought this about in the early 1500's as the Protestant church was born and the resumption of Biblical worship took place. The Word of God was translated into the common languages and the Bible then redirected worship into more Biblical patterns.
