I was born in the Bronx which is part of New York City. I became interested in investing as my article on buying the Erie-Lackawanna RR will show.   I had my first article published in Railroad Model Craftsman (model trains- published in Ramsey, NJ) in July, 1965 when I was 18. I went to college at the University of Arizona where I haunted used book stores for books on investing. I finally found the perfect book – Robert Lichello’s How to Make $1,000,000 in the Stock Market Automatically. This book showed the perfect system to make great profits for life. I liked his book so much that I started getting ideas on how I could write my own book and improve on the ideas that Mr. Lichello invented. My original investing book was written under strange conditions about as far away as you can get from the New York stocks markets – in Tunduchan, Korea (10 miles from DMZ), Maffle, Belgium, and Weilerbach Germany.
