Moses held up the suffering symbol; a snake on a pole.  He did this not to deify snakes but to show them impaled.  We, the New Testament church are to be able to handle snakes and drink poison and not be harmed.  Why?  Because there will be snakes and there will be poison that life thrusts upon us.  Are we equipped to kill the serpents and their accompanying poison and live?  Dr. Alan Hawkins gives us the insight and encouragement to do just that.  Check it out.
