For 25+ years, he ran Yellow Moon Press, an independent publishing company, whose focus was the oral tradition as it relates to storytelling, poetry and music. His love of story drew him to the mythopoetic men’s work of Robert Bly, Michael Meade, James Hillman, John Stokes, and others as an organizer of numerous events where men explored and nurtured themselves with folktales, poems, and personal reflection.
