Teresa lost her father at a very young age, would set a pattern to my life that was never to alter. Losing was something that I would have to get used to. I still have some memory of him, but in truth it’s all a little hazy for me. Through no fault of her own, my mum had no alternative but to return to her parent’s home. We were to spend a few years there with them, which hold many happy memories for me. Happy memories for me are sadly in very short supply, so I treasure them.
