Abandoned by his father just after birth and forced into a single parent environment, Darrell Barnes' story is not unlike that of many young people in America today. Raised in the inner city of Houston, TX Barnes rose above his circumstances to become an Author, Motivator, Life Coach and Entrepreneur. His motivational message delivers practical principles with powerful inspiration. It is a message born out of Darrell’s personal struggles- most notable, spending six years incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. Instead of losing hope and allowing his setback to define his future, Darrell set out on a journey of self-discovery. He utilized that time to attend graduate school, counsel inmates and staff members, and facilitated peer counseling for HIV and AIDS. Because of his character, although incarcerated, he was also asked by prison administrators to function as a mediator between two warring gang factions. Through that journey of self-discovery his reasons for being manifested—to inspire the world as a
