From East Texas. Lived in Houston/Katy for the past 11 years during which time I was a safety manager for a offshore drilling company. I'm at retirement age but am re-tiring with a new set of tires to keep working for the next 11 years or more. In a previous company (where I also worked 11 years) I was a driller in the North Sea where I almost froze to death. My rig was slammed by a monster wave during a storm. All lifeboats were washed away so we had to evacuate by chopper. In Aberdeen I was offered a training job....and that's what I've been doing ever since...combined with a lot of safety management. I was a training instructor in the South of France, Nigeria, West Africa, Lafayette, La, Jackson, Mississippi and on lots of drilling rigs. My wife of 35 years passed away 4 years ago but before going she told me to get remarried and be happy.....so I did. God sent me Jane.....so now I am Tarzan swinging on the vines.
